BILLY MURRAY


Billy Murray graduated at the East 15 Acting School in London. The notorious Krays are said to have funded his training.

His film credits include ‘Poor Cow’ (1967), ‘Up the Junction’ (1968), ‘Buddy's Song’ (1990), ‘Essex Boys’ (2000) and ‘Rollin' with the Nines’ (2006). Billy is well known to TV viewers as the corrupt Don Beech in the series 'The Bill'.

In 2005, he went on keeping the bad guy image by playing the gangster Johnny Allen in the BBC soap 'Eastenders', which won him the 'Best Villain' award at the British Soap Awards in 2006. Billy Murray has appeared in many other television series such as 'The Sweeney', 'The Professionals', 'Minder', 'Dempsey & Makepeace', 'Bergerac', 'Casualty', 'A Touch of Frost' and 'Doctors'.
